A package tracker should answer one question — when does it arrive? — and then get out of the way. Most of the ones on the App Store instead want your inbox, show you ads, or quietly bill you every week. Underway does none of those things.
One list, every carrier
Paste a tracking number, scan a barcode, or share it from Mail, Messages, Safari or a shop’s app. Underway detects the carrier automatically — USPS, UPS, FedEx, DHL, Amazon, PostNL, DPD, GLS, Evri, Royal Mail and 900 more — and adds the parcel to a single list grouped by what matters: arriving today, needs attention, on the way.
A clear timeline for each parcel
Every checkpoint from label created to delivered, in plain language, with the carrier’s name and the last scan. Exceptions and pickups are called out instead of buried in a status string.
Delivery day on the Lock Screen
When a parcel is out for delivery, Underway starts a Live Activity: the status sits on your Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island until it lands. Home and Lock Screen widgets keep the next delivery one glance away the rest of the time.
Notifications that mean something
Movement, out-for-delivery, delivered, and exceptions. Not “your package is on its way!” every six hours.
Private by design
Underway never asks for your email, never scrapes receipts, never sells a shopping history. It only knows about a parcel because you told it the number. Your list lives on your phone and syncs through your own iCloud account; there is no Underway account to create or delete.
Honest pricing
Five new parcels a month are free, forever. Plus — unlimited parcels, Live Activities, widgets, barcode scanning — is one fair annual price with a 7-day trial, or a lifetime purchase you pay once. No weekly plan exists in this app, on purpose. The reasoning is in the post about why Underway exists: a tracker’s real cost is per parcel registered with the carrier network, and the honest way to cover it is a small annual fee from the people who ship a lot, not ads for everyone.
