Privacy Policy
Last Updated: January 24, 2026
Saltserv (“we”, “our”, or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard information when you use our applications and services.
Overview
We believe in transparency and user control. Our apps are designed with privacy as a core principle:
- Minimal Data Collection: We only collect data that is essential for app functionality
- No Data Sales: We never sell your personal information to third parties
- Local Processing: Most data processing happens on your device
- User Control: You have full control over your data
Data Collection
Data We Do NOT Collect
- Personal identification information (name, email, address) unless you contact us directly
- Location data
- Contacts or address book information
- Photos, videos, or media files
- Health or fitness data
- Financial information
- Browsing history
Data We May Collect
App Analytics (Optional) Some of our apps may include anonymized analytics to help us understand how features are used and improve the user experience. This data:
- Is fully anonymized and cannot identify you personally
- Includes general usage patterns (e.g., which features are used most)
- Does not include any personal content or files you work with
- Can be disabled in app settings where applicable
Crash Reports If an app crashes, we may receive anonymized crash logs through Apple’s crash reporting system. These logs help us identify and fix bugs but do not contain personal information.
Support Communications When you contact us for support, we collect the information you provide (such as your email address and message content) to respond to your inquiry.
App-Specific Privacy Information
ADB Dock
ADB Dock is a macOS utility for Android development. Here’s how it handles your data:
- Data Collected: None. ADB Dock does not collect, store, or transmit any user data.
- Network Access: ADB Dock may access the network only for checking for updates (if enabled). No personal data is transmitted.
- Local Data: All app preferences and settings are stored locally on your Mac.
- Android Device Data: ADB Dock communicates with connected Android devices only through local USB/Wi-Fi connections. No device data is sent to external servers.
Booksum
Booksum lets you scan pages from physical books and turn them into summaries and notes using an on-device AI model. Here’s how it handles your data:
- Local Storage: All your books, snippets, notes, and summaries are stored locally on your device. We never upload this content to our servers.
- On-Device AI: Summaries are generated by an AI model that runs entirely on your device. The pages you scan and the text you capture are never sent to a server for processing.
- No Account: Booksum does not require sign-up, login, or any personal account.
- OCR: Text recognition (OCR) runs on your device; captured images are not uploaded.
- Advertising (free tier): The free version of Booksum displays ads through Google AdMob. To serve ads, AdMob may access a device advertising identifier. This is used for advertising only, not to track you across apps and websites, and ads are removed entirely when you purchase Booksum Premium. See Google’s policies.
- In-App Purchases: Premium is sold through Apple’s in-app purchase system. Payments are handled by Apple; we do not receive or store your payment details.
Ismi
Ismi is a baby-name app for Android, with an iOS version on the way. Every name, meaning and Quran citation it shows is bundled inside the app itself. Here’s how it handles your data:
- No Account: Ismi does not require sign-up, login, or any personal account.
- Local Storage: Your shortlist, your swipe history and your preferences are stored on your device — SwiftData on iOS, Room and DataStore on Android. We never upload them to our servers.
- The Name Library: All 1,836 names ship inside the app. Browsing, searching and swiping happen entirely offline; no query you type is sent anywhere.
- No Advertising: Ismi shows no ads and contains no advertising SDK. No advertising identifier is accessed.
- No Analytics: Ismi contains no analytics or attribution SDK.
- In-App Purchases: Premium is sold through Apple’s in-app purchase system on iOS and Google Play Billing on Android, with entitlements recorded by RevenueCat against an anonymous, app-generated identifier. That identifier is what lets a purchase survive a reinstall or a change of device. It carries no name, no email address and no account, and it is not joined to anything that identifies you. Payments are handled by Apple or Google; we do not receive or store your payment details.
- Pronunciation: Spoken pronunciation uses your device’s own text-to-speech voices. Nothing is recorded and nothing is sent to a server.
Murmur
Murmur is a voice-capture app for iPhone. Everything that turns your speech into a note happens on the device. Here’s how it handles your data:
- No Account: Murmur does not require sign-up, login, or any personal account.
- Voice and Transcription: Speech-to-text uses Apple’s on-device Speech recognition. Your audio is transcribed locally and is not uploaded to us or to any third party.
- Note Clean-up: The language model that turns a transcript into a titled, tidied note runs locally on the device via Apple’s MLX framework. Your transcript is not sent to any server for processing, and there is no API key or remote inference involved.
- One-Time Model Download: On first launch the app downloads its language model (roughly 1 GB) from Hugging Face over your network connection. That request fetches model files only — it carries none of your notes, audio, or transcripts. After the download, the app works fully offline.
- Local Storage: Notes are written as plain markdown files inside the app’s own storage on your device. We never upload them to our servers.
- Reminders: If you say “remind me…”, the date is parsed on the device and a local notification is scheduled. Nothing is sent anywhere.
- No Advertising: Murmur shows no ads and contains no advertising SDK. No advertising identifier is accessed.
- No Analytics: Murmur contains no analytics or attribution SDK.
- In-App Purchases: The paid unlock is a one-time non-consumable sold through Apple’s in-app purchase system (StoreKit). Payments are handled by Apple; we do not receive or store your payment details.
Third-Party Services
Our apps may integrate with third-party services. Each service has its own privacy policy:
