Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the applications and services provided by Saltserv (“we”, “our”, or “us”). By downloading, installing, or using any of our apps, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the apps.

Individual apps may offer different features, purchase options, and third-party integrations. Where an app’s own screens describe what it offers, those descriptions govern; these Terms cover what is common to all of them.

1. License

We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive, revocable license to use our apps on devices that you own or control, in accordance with the terms of the store you obtained the app from.

Apps obtained from the Apple App Store are also governed by the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions and by Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA), which is incorporated into these Terms by reference:

Apps obtained from Google Play are also governed by the Google Play Terms of Service.

Where these Terms and the applicable store terms differ, the more protective provision for the user applies to the extent permitted by law.

2. Subscriptions and Purchases

Some of our apps offer premium features through in-app purchases. The purchase options available, their billing periods, and their prices differ from app to app and from region to region.

What you are buying, and for how much, is always shown in the app before you confirm any purchase. That screen is the authoritative description of the offer; nothing on this page adds to it or replaces it.

Purchase options may include auto-renewable subscriptions, one-time non-consumable purchases, or both.

Auto-renewal: Auto-renewable subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Payment is charged to your Apple Account or Google Play account on confirmation of purchase, and again within 24 hours before the end of each period.

Free trials and introductory offers: Some apps may offer a free trial or an introductory price. Where one is offered, its length and terms are stated in the app at the point of purchase. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription, where applicable. Not every app offers a trial, and the absence of one is not a defect.

Managing and cancelling: You can manage or cancel a subscription at any time in your store account settings — on iOS, Settings → your name → Subscriptions; on Android, the Google Play app → Subscriptions. Deleting an app does not cancel a subscription.

Restoring purchases: Previously purchased non-consumable items and active subscriptions can be restored from within the app at any time.

All payments are processed by Apple or Google. We do not collect or store your payment details.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of our apps, except where permitted by law.
• Use the apps for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable regulation.
• Interfere with or disrupt the apps or the servers and networks used to provide them.

4. User Content

Content you create in our apps — such as notes, saved items, lists, and anything else you enter or capture — belongs to you.

Unless an app’s own screens tell you otherwise, this content is stored locally on your device and is not uploaded to our servers. Where an app offers a feature that does send content off the device, such as syncing between people who have chosen to connect, the app says so at the point you turn it on. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to store any material you add.

5. Third-Party Services

Our apps use third-party services to deliver core functionality. Which ones apply depends on the app, and may include:

• Apple and Google, for app distribution and in-app purchases.
• Payment and subscription infrastructure, used to record entitlements so a purchase survives a reinstall or a change of device.
• Advertising, in apps that carry it. Not all of our apps do; an app without advertising shows none.
• On-device processing, in apps that offer generated or derived content. Where processing happens on the device, nothing is sent to a server for it.

6. Disclaimers

Our apps are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the maximum extent permitted by law.

Where an app presents reference material, translations, or generated or derived content, it is provided for convenience and may contain inaccuracies; it is not a substitute for consulting the original source or a qualified authority. We do not guarantee that the apps will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Saltserv shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the apps.

8. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will indicate changes by updating the “Last Updated” date above. Your continued use of the apps after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
