GotIt notices when you’ve stopped somewhere, then sends you a reminder when you’re about to leave. You swipe through your items to confirm you have them. That’s it.
How It Works
- You stop somewhere (café, office, friend’s place)
- The app notices you’ve been there a while
- When you start to leave, you get a notification
- Tap it, swipe through your items, done
The Detection Stuff
The app uses location and motion data to figure out when you’ve actually stopped somewhere vs. just passing through. When you leave that area, it pings you.
It runs in the background. You don’t have to remember to start it.
Quick Check
When you get the notification, you see cards for your items—keys, wallet, phone, whatever you’ve set up. Swipe through to confirm. Takes a few seconds.
If something’s missing, at least you’ll know before you’re too far away.
Saved Zones
You can mark specific places (home, work, gym) so the app knows exactly when to remind you. Useful if the automatic detection is spotty in certain areas.
Your Items
Add whatever you usually carry. There are icons for common stuff (keys, wallet, headphones), or you can use your own photos.
Privacy
Location data stays on your phone. I don’t run servers that track where you go. The app needs location access to work, but nothing leaves your device.
