Oday Maleh

I’m Oday Maleh. I run Saltserv from Amsterdam, where I build apps for the platforms I actually use — iOS, Android, macOS, and the web.
I write about what I’m building, the engineering decisions behind it, and what I learn shipping native apps for iOS, Android, macOS, and the web.
Currently shipping:
- Cura — an SSH client and Linux server monitor for iOS and Android. Real-time stats, a full terminal, Docker management, runbooks, and alerts.
- Booksum — an Android book scanner with on-device OCR, AI summaries, and spaced-repetition flashcards.
- ADB Remote — a native macOS GUI for ADB, logcat, and Gradle, for Android developers who don’t want to launch a full IDE for small tasks.
- Review Radar — a web app that uses Claude to rank Google Play Store complaints by severity.
- GotIt — an iOS reminder app that pings you before you leave your stuff behind.
- Textrix — an iOS text utility that rephrases passages in 30 languages, summarises long text, and extracts text from PDFs.
What I’m into
- Building tools that solve problems I actually have
- Native apps that feel right on their platform — Swift on iOS, Kotlin on Android, Compose Multiplatform on macOS
- Writing about what I learn along the way
